An Estate Sale

I went on a visit to Maryland last week and while there I went to an Estate Sale.

There were seven rooms of things to choose from and I am showing you four items I picked up and guess how much it cost me! Nothing! It was at my daughters home and she was down sizing her abode and I went up there to help her get things priced etc. I picked out a few things and was willing to pay for them but you know how families are......

Her Estate sale was a very good one and very successful and we took home a car full of things I just couldn't let her sell. Isn't that just nice of me :)

These bunnies were just perfect for Easter filled with jelly beans. This other urn is beautifully handcarved with flowers and birds on it. Yes, birds. Would you believe I like birds?

Since I have been watching a couple of garage sale and antiques people are getting such as on Garage Sale Gal blog. I started to wonder if I could find some neat stuff. I don't need anymore stuff but what I use in my home I will replace from other stuff in my home. (My reasoning to my husband).
Today, Friday there was a community garage sale. Must have been 50 or more going on. This is a yearly thing for this community. So I did find a few things I liked, not that I needed, but I liked so here there are. Not to bore you with prices on each I will saw that it cost me $5.00 for it all. Now on some of the blogs I have seen the items they get are really fantastic but I really know where everything here will be going. (Not in a garage sale as my husband thinks or on Ebay either). Me Me Me! Casa!

Garage Sale Goodies

Great day this past saturday. Had no intention of garage saleing but just happened to see a community one near home. So.......These are some of my finds and Here is what I found: All the silver frames plus two I sent to my swap-botter $1.00 for all., Two pieces of l yd fabric $.50 each piece. Two childrens books (which I am sending to grandson with little items on each page in little envelopes to open for a surprise as he reads it) $1.00 for both. Old Cigar box .50,lovely old creamer .50,
puzzle by Thomas Kincaid .50. and then two silk scarfs for free. Then my husband got a few things also. A very nice day. I spent less than$5.00 then went to a store in town to take back a pr. pants I bought that were too big (thats a first) and got $17.00 back. I may try this next Saturday. Oh! more I got a very pretty shirt for $1.00 instead of the $2.00 she had marked on it.
