Photo Challenge for February 25th and Feb. 26th

The Word for today is Green.
I did not put up anything for two previous days (23rd and 24th) because I thought the words too uninteresting.
One was "your shoes" - mine are nothing to even see and for the 24th "Inside your bathroom cabinet". Now, I really would rather no one look inside my bathroom cabinet, besides it is a closet not a cabinet. How many time when you were at someone's home and had to use the bathroom did you sneek a peek at what was in their medicine cabinet?  Well, no one is going to enter mine and the guest bathroom does not have one.  Some things have to remain private to the blogger world.
This is for the 26th which is    "NIGHT"
"GREEN"
This is the 25th which is "Green" as above shows .
February 27th, 28th and 29th may prove interesting too.  Then you will no longer have to put up with my word challenge.  March should blow in fierce but go out like a lamb or so they say.

Photo Challenge - Feb. 22nd

Words are "Where You Work"

No longer in the business world of working I can honestly say that it is not missed, except for maybe a few friends along the way.  I know have the luxery of "working" at home and having a great time doing it.  The pay is not that great but finally I am the boss.
This is the Photo Challenge for Feb. 22nd (again a day or two late).

Photo Challenge 21- Words "A Fave Photo of You"

Challenge for February 21 is "A Fave Photo of you"

I have a couple of favorites during 76 years but this has to be my very favorite.
I am about 8 yrs. old and it is during WWII about 1944 or 43.  Victory gardens were
being put in everyone's back yard and my father had an enormous one.  I did a lot of
tendering with him in this yard and one of my fondest memories of he and I.
This is my picture watering the biggest cabbage head I had ever seen and I do believe
I still believed in cabbage patch kids (not the doll in later years, but real kids).
How naive children were in those war days as we still believed in what our parents
told us.  The picture is a little worn and tattered almost like me now.

Photo Challenge - Word Something you HATE to do.

This is for the day Feb. 19th which I indavertantly skipped but here it is.

The reason I choose to photograph a phone is because I hate to make calls.  I hate to even answer phones because most of the time it is for my husband.  But the dilema is, I do like my friends to call ME.
So if my personal friends read this please call me.  I just don't call.  My work days of years passed was for the Telephone Company and I had to make and receive calls 40 hrs. a week plus at home so that is the reason, in my retirement years, I HATE this instrument.

One more point:  My children, this does not give you any cause to not call me anytime and frequently.
P.S. Notice on the phone how many missed calls are on there.  See!!!

Photo Challenge Day - 20th

The word is:   Handwriting   (I skipped the 19th so that day will follow this day)
Photo of some pages written in pencil to be transcribed in my journal.

I remember in the fourth grade of Elementary School at Woodrow Wilson in Elizabeth, N.J. when I won as the best hand writer in my class of 30, a Penmanship Award.  I was very proud and loved the "art" of writing.
It seems today with computers handy and even faster to write with, people forget to send that handwritten note.  I always try to do that as it gives that personal touch to the receiver.
I also do a lot of computer writing too.  It is easier to jot down your thoughts and faster to do it and always have a correction tab or spelling tab.
I have done many journals by long hand and inserted a couple of typewritten pages when I wanted to get it down on paper fast before I forgot.  Yes, old age does make you forget.!
There are some written letters I have received where I couldn't understand what was written because the handwriting was indiscernible and would have preferred it typed.
I also have a book filled with "writings" that I have done in the past and still do from time to time. It could be my poems, my recollections of childhood, my family, and stories I made up for my grandchildren when they were young. Also I have written from prompts (pictures) of miscellaneous people and places and just storied them.  Much Fun!

Photo Challenge Day - February 18th

I seem to be putting the photos on a day after the actual listing and this is "Drink" for Feb. 18th.

You can see the reflection of the glass rim in the glass waterball.  I have been nurturing this plant, which is Christmas Cactus for 10 years now.  You can see one of the left over blooms as it is usually covered in red blooms during December.  I use one of those weekly watering balls that keep it at the right amount of water.  The word "Drink" and my first thought was to either get my dog to drink while I took his picture....not....and I knew that this wonderful plant would accept the "drink" appreciately.
Till tomorrow when the word will be 'SOMETHING YOU HATE TO DO".  That should be interesting.

Photo a Day Challenge

I saw on a blog a photo challenge. You take a photo each day from a list provided by another blogger, FATMUMSLIM.  She puts up a monthly list of items to shoot each day and  then you put them on your blog. Your own blog is then listed with hundred of other blogs.  I have started in the middle of the month so I am doing a photo of item 17 for the 17th of the Month and that is called "Time".  Hoping I can remember to set this up each day will also be a challange, but here goes the first one.
