Husband saw this bluebird sitting in a tree just under a birdhouse he built. Looks like she is cold but I think she is ready to produce a little one. Reminds me of when I was pregnant.
How do you tell if it is Female or Male? They both get well-fed around our home.
Can't answer about bluebirds,or most other kinds -- some kinds the male and female have different colored feathers and sometimes the females are smaller. Maybe you'll have to wait and see who sits on the nest.
