Savannah, Georgia

On way home to Tennessee from Florida I just had to stop for a couple of days in Savannah.
It is just filled with mystery and local history. Because I love art and sculpturing along with my other favorites, I wanted to go to the Boneventure Cemetery that I have heard of from brochures and locals there. I know it may sound wierd but I do appreciate the headstones people put up for their loved ones. Some have stories to tell, some are just enormous and most are well done pieces of art. The one I am showing is a child of 5 or 6 that died many, many years ago and I have put on this blog a picture of her and the story behind it. I consider art work like this is more a tribute to the departed than a tombstone.
