UPDATE: Blue Birds

Yesterday I checked this nest and there were no eggs. Today July 4th there were these beautiful color blue eggs. I am hoping to watch them develope into babies but I may be rving by that time. I try to keep Katie our Boston Terrier from sniffing around them too and you can also see the Dad is keeping his watch over this event. Amazing that this is occuring right under our noses as we drink our morning coffee. What worries me the most is that these eggs are really exposed and there are mean birds like mocking birds that love to raid them. Don't know why I have two pictures of the birds eggs. UPDATE: Baby birds arrive
Short but sweet video while Momma and Pappy were watching me, so I had to make it brief. They had their mouths open ready for me to feed them. My camera setting was wrong for this making the photo a little light and they would not wait for me to change it.

Another Update: Picture taken of Momma Bird and Daddy waiting for me to get the heck out of here so they could feed their birds. Notice the food in Momma's mouth. This is so interesting watching these birds. They are starting to get use to my being around them.

  1. The picture on the left is beautiful. The color of the eggs is caught in the perfect light. Will be watching through your eyes.

  2. The eggs and parent birds are beautiful, babies, eh, they have to grow into their beauty. I hope they thrive and are well cared for.

  3. They are ugly little lumps aren't they, but I am sure if they survive this heat and predators they will be a beautiful blue bird.
