Something About Watching Birds!

Each morning I have my coffee on my deck and watch the feeders filled with different aray of morsels for the birds. But today was different. On my deck is a watering can in the shape of a ladybug that has lost some of its color. I rarely use it as it just sits in the corner of the stairs.
I was wondering why the bluebirds were coming so close on the deck, looking around and to my amazement swooping down on this watering can. Finally today, I found out why. The bluebirds were building a nest inside that watering can through a hole in the back where I would put water in.
This time I managed to bring my trusted camera with me as I drank my coffee and very carefully picked it up and aimed at the birds. I am sharing some of the pictures of them. I can't wait and truly hope that at one point I will have some little ones meeting me on the deck in a short period of time.

  1. Wonderful catch for the pictures. I like the one where the bluebird thinks he's hiding among the frogs.

  2. It's got to be a sign of good luck to have bluebirds nesting on your deck.
